I to be trying to update the firmware on my Maslow Arduino utilizing Windows 10. I adhered to the advice in the other 4476mountvernon.com and still no luck. I tried variation 1.25 and 1.26 the the firmware and also made certain the folder to be unzipped, i am utilizing COM 3 which mirrors up as the Arduino early programming port, and also I made certain no other programs are running that might have a harbor conflict. I likewise see the USB light is on once the cable is plugged into the regime port and also I check out that the 12 VDC irradiate is on with the strength supply cable plugged in. When I shot to upload the firmware i keep acquiring the same timeout error.

You are watching: Avrdude: stk500v2_receivemessage(): timeout

I found one more forum that said to push the reset switch on the plank just prior to uploading, and also that likewise gave the same timeout error. Ns did take the optimal board off and tried pressing an “erase” switch as well. This problem persisted prior to I pressed the erase or reset buttons, neither of those readjusted anything.

screenshot looks prefer the setting are correct, all the libraries are there.

Update: I just tried on one more computer together well, exact same timeout issue. Seems to it is in isolated to the Arduino.

I’m several hours into troubleshooting this, naught is help so far. Any aid is very much appreciated.

That is if you room using the Arduino mega… your control panel says you have an arduino Due. If that is the case, then you need to install the arduino early out 32 little drivers and you have to use the early code, that isnt hte same as the one you present in the arduino ide It looks favor this:

. Check out this wiki write-up that describes how to execute it.

Thanks because that the reply! The instructions said to select Mega, however yes mine board claims DUE shield on it. I will shot it out.

OK, i selected the Due together the board as you suggested and now I have a brand-new error around “no such document or directory.” I experienced that this error have the right to be native trying to pick the firmware paper from a zipped folder, but I made certain to extract this folder already. Also you have the right to see from the screenshot the the libraries tabs room visible. Any idea ~ above this error? complete message replicated below. Looks favor it’s failing in ~ the first #include line.

Also, i tried the serial monitor check from your other forum instructions and sent “digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH);” to blink the LED and the LED go in reality blink, so that seems prefer I have communication.

I sent out this Blink regimen example and it worked: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/BuiltInExamples/Blink

I just get the "no such record or directory error through the firmware still.

Oh mine gosh, ns figured the out. I was using the online assembly instructions because that the Maslow however they were because that a Mega Arduino, so ns was trying come upload the wrong firmware. I found the early firmware on github and also It worked.
